Block periodic Wi-Fi background scans without killing your connection. When you actually need networks, open the Windows Wi-Fi panel and scan on demand.
Windows can periodically search for nearby networks while you are already connected. That behavior may contribute to latency spikes on some systems. Penguin Anti-Scan asks Windows to stop until you need it.

The app requests the background-scan setting through the native Windows WLAN API.

Windows restricts changes to wireless interface settings. The app asks for elevation when it starts so it can request that change.

Choose “Exit and restore Wi-Fi” from the tray menu. The app restores the normal background-scan behavior before it quits.
